There are laws in the Mental Health Act that are put in place to support people who have learning disabilities and go through the criminal justice system.
Sometimes you may be placed on a section 37/41. This is when a crime has been committed and the court decides to not send you to prison, or that you are too unwell.
This section of the MHA is then used for you to be placed in hospital rather than prison.
